The Happy Mind Coach Shares Her Message

Depression is becoming a 21st century epidemic; described as a mental illness that changes a person’s thinking, feeling or behaviour and causes distress and difficulty in functioning.

Tracey Carmichael; The Happy Mind Coach is passionate about turning this epidemic around.

“Depression is not a Prozac deficiency” says Tracey “It is an SOS signal from within, an alert to listen to your body and re-evaluate your life. There are many reasons we could be anxious or depressed. It could be as a result of learned behaviour, traumatic experiences, food intolerances, extended periods of stress, abuse of alcohol, energy drinks and drugs or simply low self-esteem”

“If we are offered medication as our first and only option then I fear that we will never get to the root cause of this huge problem”

“I believe an unhealthy lifestyle is the cause of the chemical imbalance in the brain that leads to anxiety and depression” say Tracey “and can be easily rectified with a change in diet, eliminating alcohol and drugs, incorporating daily movement and quieting the mind through meditation”.

Tracey also recommends a personal development journey to find out who you really are and what makes you tick. A journey where you get to eliminate limiting and sabotaging beliefs, change the way you view the world and the way you think, and find out who you are and what you truly value to create a new story and lead an amazing life.

“When you know what your truth is and have the courage to stand in it, there is no fear or darkness in your world” says Tracey

Tracey’s mission is to educate, inspire and motivate people to move from depression to living the life they deserve through food, movement and personal development.
